DTC is excited to share that Al Yamamah Company has honored with us another contract for the construction of the Alfa Wood Industries Factory project. We officially signed the project with Al Yamamah Company on October 22, 2017. The project is quite exciting and we are truly honored to be a part of it. The factory will be serving the KSA market through wood production which will not only help the energy sector but will also provide job opportunities in KSA.
The project area spreads over around 10,000 square meters and the estimated cost is 5,382,946 Saudi Riyals. The location of the factory is in the third industrial city in Dammam. The location is almost 80 km away from Dammam city which means that we have to transport our machinery and equipment to the site which is quite manageable for us due to our resource capabilities.
In this project, we are working alongside Impact Office for Engineering Consultations who designed the buildings and got approval for that design from city authorities. They will supervise all our construction work so we will be working in a collaborative environment. We hope to work cohesively with Impact and learn from their experience and brilliant knowledge. Al Yamamah has already signed a contract with Zamil Steel Holding Company for the supply of prefabricated steel structures, so we will be procuring all steel structures from them to live up to all terms of the agreement.
Our end of the contract entails the construction of the site as per the approved building design of Impact. We will construct an administration building and a warehouse for production storage.
Our team at DTC is quite confident that we can comfortably carry out this project because we have the required skill set, capabilities, and resources. We are already planning on the team who will foresee this project and work on it. Our team will include experts from all relevant fields to complete this project with brilliance. As they are supervising us on this project so their feedback is very important for us. We are very hopeful that we will meet all the defined criteria of this project in the prescribed time and budget.
