We are happy to announce that we have received ISO 9001:2015 certification for 2022–23.
Great news: we are now ISO 9001:2015 certified. Why is this so important, you ask? Even if we are doing well, we look at what we can improve upon to provide better performance and service.
DTC has a quality management system that is ISO 9001 certified. We have succeeded in obtaining this Certification.
ISO 9001 is defined as an international standard that specifies the requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations use this standard to demonstrate their ability to provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements; it is the most widespread standard in the ISO 9000 series and the only standard to which organizations can be certified.
The first edition of ISO 9001 was first published in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a group of national standards bodies from more than 160 countries. The current version of ISO 9001 was published in September 2015.
What is ISO 9001:2015?
ISO 9001: 2015 is an international standard for quality management systems developed through ISO’s High-Level Framework (HLS). It is common to all new ISO standards. It provides significant value to users by ensuring the best possible compatibility between ISO 9001 and other standards, facilitating the implementation and integration of management systems.
ISO 9001: 2015 is an international standard applicable to large companies, small and medium enterprises, public and non-governmental organizations, and all industries. It does not set specific quality requirements and can be used to design any quality management process within an organization. This standard is considered a base standard that incorporates other existing standards in an organization.
ISO 9001 is based on seven quality management principles. They form a structured yet flexible system that ensures management and employees are satisfied with the organization’s processes and that customers receive appropriate products and services.
The ISO 9001 certification ensures compliance with the qualification requirements for public procurement when the presence or absence of a quality management system is a bidder selection criterion.
