ISO 45001 Certification

Occupational Health & Safety Management

We are proud to announce that Dorar Tammam Trading & Contracting Co., Ltd. (DTC) has achieved ISO 45001 certification.

DTC is thrilled to have earned ISO 45001:2018 certification and proudly commits to the new international health and safety management standard. It is incredibly important for the company to maintain a safe working environment and a culture of ongoing improvement. Tragically, 147 workers lost their lives while at work in 2018-2019, along with an estimated 0.6 million suffering non-fatal injuries due to operations. Therefore, obtaining the OH&S standard will not only safeguard against such cases but also provide reduced costs for organizations.

One of the best companies in KSA to achieve compliance with the new occupational health and safety management standard ISO 45001: 2018 is DTC.

This international standard specifies requirements for occupational health and safety (OH&S) management systems, enabling organizations to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses and provide a safe and healthy workplace by enhancing OH&S performance. In addition to successfully recertifying to the new standard, DTC achieved ISO 14001 environmental certification for the first time.

It adopts a “Safety First” safety program for all projects and promotes a proactive approach to managing environmental, health, and safety (EHS). The new ISO 45001 standard, which lays out effective processes for improving workplace occupational safety, integrates seamlessly with DTC’s “Safety First” mentality.

Having achieved ISO 45001: 2018 certification complements our leadership strategy, our risk management plan, our engagement process, and our collaborative philosophy through our “Safety First” program. Through certification to this occupational health and safety standard, we are proud to be recognized for that.

Management of occupational health and safety according to ISO 45001

As a result of occupational injuries, employers and businesses are burdened significantly, as they lead to early retirement, absenteeism, and increased insurance costs. ISO has developed a new standard for occupational health and safety management systems, ISO 45001. By offering a framework for improving employee safety, reducing workplace risks, and creating safer working conditions, it alleviates this burden for organizations.

International standards: what’s new?
